Big Yellow Door

BYD symbolises not only great food, but also the spirit of college students up for a great time. With its mouth-watering menu and upbeat interiors, it really manages to satiate your hunger while providing a great ambience. One of the walls is covered with a number of cartoon characters and urban symbols. ”Leaving no stone unturned” - there is always something new that you’ll spot on this wall.

The must-try: The Tandoori momos are undoubtedly the showstealers on the menu. Perhaps one of the best Indo-Chinese fusion dishes made so far.

A tad expensive, this place offers the best blend of Indianised Chinese food. The balance of flavours is well maintained, leaving little or no scope for complaint. Despite being a little heavy on the pocket, the quantity offered is appreciable. The perfect texture of shrimp and prawns, or for that matter, any meat or vegetable is an absolute delight!
The must-try: Kim Chi with Chicken Chopsuey is an absolute favourite. Shrimp and prawn dishes are commendable.

Are you a fast food lover? Got a sweet tooth? Well, here is where you find it all, at prices so unbelievably pocket-friendly that it is bound to be one of your favourite places to eat. Though there's nothing great about the interiors and the fact that it is always flooded with people (leaving absolutely no place to sit or stand), the efforts are worth it all.

Mithas

Great food at really low prices makes Jughead’s the real-life Pop Tate’s for college students. The variety offered is really impressive.

Defence Colony Bakery

Yet another classic bakery where the aroma of freshly baked confectioneries fill the air. The best of cakes and pastries come from the oven of the defence colony bakery.
A tad bit expensive, its confectioneries are perhaps the best in town at this rate.

Kent’s

Kent’s has forever been the ideal spot for young couples to eat. The cost, quality and quantity ratio is pretty impressive. Though the food variety is not much, Kent’s has mastered the handful of its dishes really well.

Indian Coffee House

The typical old school hangout for every age group, students or men with greying hair. Extremely economical dishes and a good place to just relax, away from the modern day conundrums. The staff is really polite and the service is appreciably quick.

Keventer’s

Keventer’s milk shakes are undoubtedly the best when it comes to quantity, quality and pricing. For a place that solely runs by selling milkshakes, the patronage this place gets is mind blowing (yet completely justified). Even with the sheer lack of infrastructure and space, Keventer’s stands strong.
The must-try: Their old-school milkshake with ice cream.
